I hope we see a new Ratchet and Clank game in the future. If you like Ratchet and Clank there are also the PS3-era games and the PS4 remake of the 1st game with much better graphics and revamped gameplay. On PS3 these games run at 60 fps, and the remaster is among the good ones. It's something that I totally miss these days with most modern games. Like many PS2 era games, Ratchet and Clank games are fun, with comical scripts and lighthearted humor. By Ratchet 3 it had become too much of a shooter IMHO. While the 1st game focused more on platforming, each new game put platforming to the side in favor of shooting. It's not about headshots or killstreaks but using otherworldly weapons like sheepinator and Rhyno and have fun with them. I admit that the shooting mechanics are archaic compared to modern shooters, but these games were not about shooting itself but rather about having fun.

There are also the occasional mini-games. Ratchet and Clank games are 3D platformers set in semi-open levels, with shooting mechanics.
